POLISH ANIMATED FILMS AWARDED AGAIN
The last weekend brought even more awards to Polish animated films. This time Polish films were awarded at the festivals Anifilm, Chilemonos and Golden Kuker.
First festival award went to Jerzy Kucia and his "Fugue for cello, trumpet and a landscape". Kucia screened his film at the Anifilm festival that took place between 5th and 10th May in Czech Trebon. Film received the jurie's award for the best experimental animated film. This is seventh award for film by Kucia. It is worth adding that the Best Music Video award went to Tomek Ducki and his "Paradise awaits".
There was another award that was presented to Polish film in the experimental category. Wojciech Wojtkowski's "Ex animo" received the laurels of the Chilean Chilemonos festival. Animation by Wojtkowski, that screened all over the world and was awarded five times is an impression on the subject of movement and inner need of moving. Film was produced by Fumi Studio based in Warsaw.
Third Polish animation that got awarded last weekend was one second long "I am" by Magdalena Pilecka. The film made by the graduate of the Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology scored the Super Short Animated Film Award at Bulgarian Golden Kuker International Animation Film Festival. This year's edition of the festival was held between 4th and 10th May in Sofia.
