“A LITTLE BIT OF PARADISE” SCORES SPECIAL MENTION
The short documentary by Andrzej Cichocki was recognised at the Makedox festival, which ended this weekend.
Makedox has been held in Skopje for only eleven years and has already become one of the most important documentary film festivals in North Macedonia. In addition to competition screenings, each year the program also includes industry events, workshops, and non-competitive segments.
This year, its program featured three Polish documentaries – “Altered States of Consciousness” by Piotr Stasik, “Masks and Men” by Paweł Łoziński, and Andrzej Cichocki's film – which was recognised in the “short” competition.
“A Little Bit of Paradise” is a documentary story on the borderline between realism and fairy tale. It's about a Silesian family which – living in an out-of-the-way corner of a metropolis – reveals its world to the viewer and shares moments from their lives, inextricably linked with the nature that surrounds them.
