“PLANTARIUM” AWARDED AT AUSTRIAN FESTIVAL
The film by Tomek Ducki won the Golden Unicorn award for the best short animated film at the Alpinale Short Film Festival in Austria.
The first edition of the Alpinale Short Film Festival took place in 1985 in the Austrian town of Bludenz. After a few years the event moved to Nenzig only to ultimately return to its founding city. Each time, the festival attracts over a thousand viewers who are treated to screenings of excellent short films from all over the world.
One of the titles invited to the program was Tomek Ducki's animated film. The awarded “Plantarium” takes place in a dark cave where a lonely man cultivates an unusual garden. One day, while pruning his plants, the gardener finds a little boy in a pot. His nails are long like wild shoots.
This year's edition of the festival was held between 10 and 14 August.
