POLISH ANIMATED FILMS ACCLAIMED IN SERBIA

The jury of Serbian Balkanima European Film Festival, that came to an end last weekend chose to award two Polish animated films. "A blue room" by Tomasz Siwiński and "Summer 2014" by Wojciech Sobczyk received Special Mentions.

Balkanima is the most prominent Serbian film festival devoted completely to presentation of the European animated films. Every year Polish films are present in the festival's programme and have been given awards many times over the past few years. 

This year's jury decided to give two special mentions to Polish Films. On the last festival's day the awards went to "A Blue Room" by Tomasz Siwiński and "Summer 2014" by Wojciech Sobczyk. 

Apart from the awarded films two other films screened as a part of the very same competition – "Rivers" by Daria Wiktoria Kopiec and "Fugue for cello, trumpet and landscape" by Jerzy Kucia. 

It is worth to add that another four films took part in the student film competition namely "Domestication" by Sylwia Gaweł, "Fences" by Natalia Krawczuk, "Moko" by Marta Szymańska and "Sky above me" by Agnieszka Waszczeniuk. Moreover "Woolen cogaheels" made it to the panorama screening. 

The 12th Balkanima festival was held between 6 and 10 October.
