POLAND – A GUEST COUNTRY AT 3D WIRE
On October 8th the 7th edition of the 3D wire Festival and Marked for films, videos and new media kicked off. Poland is celebrated as a guest country during this year's edition.
3D wire is the biggest Spanish market devoted to animation, games and new media and one of the leading ones in Europe. Every year the programme includes the numerous conferences, presentations, workshops, individual meetings and screening aimed at professionals 3D wire is the sole Spanish festival accredited by Cartoon d'Or – meaning that the award winners of the Spanish festival are eligible for nominations to this prestigious European award for short animated film.
This year Polish animated films have a very special place in the festival's programme. The festival features a screening including some of the most outstanding Polish animated films that will be brought to festival's audience as a result of collaboration with Ad Arte Foundation and the Polish Cultural Institute in Madrid. A programme of nine films will be presented including such titles as: „Ziegenort” by Tomasz Popakul, „Noise” by Przemysław Adamski and „Baths” by Tomek Ducki.
Moreover – a delegation of Polish producers from following studios – Platige Image, GS Animation, Dash Dot Creations, Human Ark and Animoon, will participate in the market events. Additionally representatives of Momakin and Polish Animation Producers Association will take part in the market as well. Polish guests will have several individual meetings and present their latest projects during the presentations.
This year's edition of the market will end on Sunday 11th October.
