"STARTING POINT" WITH SPECIAL MENTION IN BUDAPEST
The documentary film by Michał Szcześniak was appreciated once more. This time, it was given a special mention at the film festival in Budapest.
On September 27, ended the International Documentary Film Festival in Budapest. About 40 films from around the world competed in the festival competitions. In the category "Let's face the shorts," the Special Mention went to the film "Starting Point" by Michał Szcześniak.
The documentary film presents the story of Aneta, who rebelled when she was 19. She went to prison for murder. Nine years later, doing time she starts working as a carer. Every day, she leaves the prison walls to go to the rest home and take care of Ms Helena, suffering from rheumatism. The conversations with her charge make Aneta aware how much she has in life and let her believe in herself and face the difficult trial which awaits her.
