POLISH ANIMATED FILMS AT RIFF
The programme of Icelandic RIFF – Reykjavik International Film Festival – features a special event devoted to Polish animated film. The meeting "Polish Animation Now" was organized by the joint efforts of RIFF organizers and Culture.pl.
On Wednesday, 30th September a meeting on the subject of Polish animated film will be held. A presentation that was put together by Wojtek Wawszczyk (Human Ark) and Zofia Ścisłowska (Polish Animation Producers Association) will show the most interesting and vivid trends visible in the Polish animated cinema. The presentation will be followed by the most widely acclaimed films that in the recent years have been most frequently screened and awarded at festivals in Poland and abroad. The Icelandic audience will discover films by Tomek Popakul ("Ziegenort"), Michał Socha ("Chick"), Kamil Polak ("The lost town of Świteź") and Piotr Dumała "Hippos".
The event is organised by Culture. The Polish Animation Producers Associations is a partner of the event.
RIFF is the biggest Iceladic film festival showcases the most outstanding short and feature lengh films made around the world. Each year more than 100 tiles produced in 80 countries are screened in the capital of Iceland. This year marks the 11th edition of the festival, which is held between 24th September and 4th October.
