POLISH WINNERS OF THE 15TH IFF T-MOBILE NEW HORIZONS
On Saturday, August 1, we learnt the names of the winners of the 15th International Film Festival T-Mobile New Horizons. Among the winners, there are seven Polish films.
Grzegorz Zariczny with his latest documentary film "Love, love" won the Polish Short Film Competition. The second award went to Martin Rath for his short fiction "La etiuda," produced by the Polish National Film School in Lodz. The third award was granted to the animated "Woolen Cogwheels" by Bartek Kędzierski. A special mention was also given in the competition - it went to Paulina Skibińska for her documentary "Object." The winners were selected by international Jury consisting of: Miguel Llanso, Alissa Simon and Edyta Janczak-Hiriart.
Polish films were also awarded in the Zoom Competition, addressed to film-makers and visual artists from Wrocław and Lower Silesia. The main award in this competition was given to the feature-length documentary film "The Queen of Silence" by Agnieszka Zwiefka. Special Award in the form of a scholarship founded by European Capital of Culture - Wrocław 2016 as well as the possibility of making the project in the Audiovisual Technology Center in Wrocław, went to Aleksandra Terpińska for her film "America." In the same competition, the music video "The Drift" by Marcin Ożog was also awarded. The winners were chosen by the jury consisting of Katarzyna Boratyn, Filip Syczyński, Paweł Kloc.
