Katie, a volatile 16year-old girl, lives in Krakow. Her parents gave up the fight for a better life many years ago but Katie still believes that is possible to change her fate. She takes practice at a small hairdressing salon. Katie believes that becoming a perfect hairdresser is the only way to change her life. Also, she involves in the online intimate relationship with a mysterious stranger nicknamed Italiano.

Grzegorz Zariczny »
Grzegorz Zariczny is a Polish director and screenwriter (b. 1983). He studied film directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School (Faculty of Radio and Television) of the University of Silesia in Katowice and completed a documentary programme at the Wajda School in Warsaw. His documentary debut The Dog Hill (Marysina Polana, 2010) marked the start of his career and was widely awarded in Poland and abroad. His short documentary The Whistle (Gwizdek, 2012) went on to win the Short Film Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival (2013). Zariczny later directed fiction work including Waves (Fale, 2016), which had its world premiere in the Main Competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and Simple Things (Proste rzeczy, 2020). He is known for combining documentary sensitivity with narrative storytelling and intimate, character-driven cinema.
