"FROM BED THOU AROSE" AWARDED AT BROOKLYN FILM FESTIVAL

This year's edition of Brooklyn Film Festival was held from May 29 to June 7. One of its winners is Bartek Konopka and his short fiction film "From Bed Thou Arose."

The Brooklyn Film Festival, which ended on June 7, was very successful for Bartek Konopka. His film "From Bed Thou Arose" was chosen the Best Narrative Short by the festival jury. The jury included over twenty American film industry professionals. It is worth adding that the award in Brooklyn is the first award the film won abroad.

"From bed thou arouse" is a comically absurd parable that tells the story of a furniture-beds maker who, after the fall of communism, expands his business, from camp beds right through to run-ins with the mafia. He pays a price in his private life for getting drunk on freedom and capitalism.
