"ADAPTATION" AWARDED IN ITALY
At the last weekend of October, the award ceremony was held at the festival Fiaticorti in Italy. The film "Adaptation" by Bartosz Kruhlik returned from the festival with the award.
Fiaticorti is an Italian festival which lasts almost two months, during this time, there were the screenings of films awarded last year, as well as the ones which were nominated in this year's edition of the festival. The results were announced on October 28, and the Fiaticorti award went to "Adaptation" by Bartosz Kruhlik.
"Adaptation" is a film about a family grieving after the death of their son and brother, Marcin. However, instead of trying to reconcile, the close ones of the deceased frantically scratch fresh wounds. The atmosphere at home thickens with every spoken word, because neither the brother nor the parents were prepared for the passing away of the young man. Mutual relationships also get complicated, and the attempts at starting a conversation do not lead to an agreement. To make things worse, the question of who is guilty of his death keeps on recurring more and more clearly.
The full list of award-winning films is on the festival's website.
