"FAT AND SKINNY" AWARDED AT THE GERMAN FESTIVAL

Aleksandra Brożyna, the authour of animated film "Fat and skinny" received yet another award. Her film was awraded by the jury of the German Monstronale festival.

It was for the third time that the Monstronale animated film festival was held in the German town of Halle. Every year the programme is composed basing on one leading theme, which this year was "passions". The retrospective screening of Czech animation has initiated the festival. 

This year's competitive screening featured 10 films, among them "Fat and skinny" that represented Poland. Eventually it was the animation by Aleksandra Brożyna that received the award for the best film of the competition. On announcing the verdict the jury gave the following statement: The film presents in arbitrary pictures the strange of the common, the individualism of the other and ourselves.

"Fat and skinny" is a graduation film by Aleksandra Brożyna, made at the Warsaw based Fumi Studio. Brożyna is a graduate of the animation faculty of the Polish National Film School in Łódź. 

Fat and Skinny are the boys who live their lives in the rhythm of their strange habits. They think that existence wihout these daily rituals would be impossible. Many surprises await you in their world. We are taking part in the search for ways to satisfy some inner hunger the boys are coping with. In order to discover the darks secrets that they are hiding, one must look back. 

The festival was held between 10-12 April.
