„TWIST AND BLOOD” BY KUBA CZEKAJ AWARDED IN SAN FRANCISCO
A few days ago in San Francisco the International Short Film Festival SF SHORTS came to an end. “Twist and Blood” directed by Kuba Czekaj found itself among the awarded films.
Festival SF SHORTS was held between 8th and 10th September. In three days there were around sixty documentaries, short fiction and animated films screened. “Twist and Blood”, a diploma made by Kuba Czekaj - a graduate of Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty in Katowice, was the only Polish representative in the competition. What is more, it immediately received jury’s acclamation and was presented with the Director’s Special Recognition.
Autumn continues to be an intense period for Czekaj’s short film. It is only in September that the film is going to be shown at Student Screening during San Sebastian Film Festival and competitive sections at Tamecula Valley International Film and Music Festival in USA, Open Student Film Festival “Beginning” at Petersburg and Raindance Film Festival in London. The upcoming screenings have already been confirmed and the film is scheduled to be presented at Cinemagic International Film Festival in Belfast, „Up-and-coming” International Film Festival in Hannover and Kyoto International Student & Video Festival in Japan.
