“CROCODILE” IN CANNES
The short film by Dawid Bodzak has made it into the Cannes Film Festival's extremely prestigious La Semaine de la Critique competition.
The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world's most important and prestigious film events. Every year the selection committee receives a record number of submissions for each section. Thousands of talented filmmakers dream of showing off their creations at the Côte d'Azur. This year's edition of the festival will take place on 16–27 of May.
La Semaine de la Critique, or the International Critics' Week, has been established in 1962. It's one of the competitive sections of the Cannes festival. Only first and second films (both shorts and features) made by young, promising filmmakers are invited.
One of the films invited to this extremely prestigious section was made by Dawid Bodzak. Crocodile is a short neo-giallo film about the need to fulfil hidden desires that tears the protagonists' world apart from the inside. Adam Suzin is responsible for the cinematography of the film, and Kamil Grzybowski is responsible for the editing. The film is the director's feature film diploma.
