"DUST" AWARDED IN SWITZERLAND

On the 7th of July ended the CineGlobe Film Festival at the CERN in Switzerland. One of the award-winning films is "Dust" by Jakub Radej.

The CineGlobe Film Festival, organised by the CERN Centre in Geneva, is a festival dedicated to the films connected with science and technology. During the festival, not only science documentary films are shown, but also films which are inspired by knowledge. Since 2012, each edition of the festival has its main theme, and this year it was "Transformation / Transcendence." It was during this edition of the festival that the CineGlobe Prize for the best documentary film went to "Dust" by Jakub Radej.

"Dust" is a study of the road which the human body has to go through from the moment of death to the funeral. In the film by Jakub Radej, the stages of this road (dissection room, mortuary, cemetery) are contrasted with bureaucracy, which is also the fate of the deceased's possessions.

More information about the festival can be found on the website of the CineGlobe.
