"MILKY BROTHER" WINS A SPECIAL MENTION IN CAIRO

The Polish-Armenian film "Milky Brother" by Vahram Mkhitaryan was appreciated by the jury of the 37th International Film Festival in Cairo. The film was given a Special Mention in the short film competition "Cinema of Tomorrow."

The film "Milky Brother," made by Vahram Mkhitaryan, won yet another award. This time, the film was appreciated by the jury of the short film competition "Cinema of Tomorrow," held within the frames of the 37th International Film Festival in Cairo. "Milky Brother," produced jointly by Munk Studio and Wajda Studio, won a Special Mention in Cairo. The jury that awarded this Polish-Armenian co-production, consisted of Asser Yassin, Dr Ahmed Maher and Dorra Zarouk. In Cairo, the film enjoyed large interest from the audience and was very warmly received.

"Milky Brother" is a story of a little boy called Seto, who lives in a small village in Armenia. Soon, a new member of the family is to be born. Seto dreams about a baby brother, but the newborn baby dies. Instead of a little brother, a lamb appears in the boy's life. Initial dislike quickly turns into liking - and friendship is born between Seto and the lamb. Unfortunately, not for long. The decision of the family means that the boy has to say goodbye to his "milky brother."
