POLISH ANIMATIONS IN MONTREAL
The 17th edition of Les Sommets du Cinema d'Animation - Montreal International Festival begins this week. Four Polish animations were invited to this year's international competition.
Les Sommets du Cinema d'Animation - Montreal International Festival presents the best animations from Quebec, Canada and the rest of the world. In the program you can find international productions from already recognised artists, as well as student films from young and talented filmmakers who are the future of animated cinema. Each year, apart from competition screenings, the festival prepares retrospectives, panel discussions and meetings with the invited animators.
Four Polish animations were included in this year's festival program. "Bernard" by Anna Oparkowska and "Room" by Michał Socha will compete in the best international animation competition, while "The Other" by Marta Magnuska and "Incarnation" by Barbara Rupik will fight for the best student animation award.
