FIVE POLISH FILMS IN THE PROGRAMME OF HOT DOCS
On April 26, the International Documentary Film Festival "Hot Docs" in Canada starts. In the programme of this year's edition, there are five Polish documentary films.
Initiated in 1993, Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is the largest documentary film festival on the American continent. It takes place every year in spring, and film screenings are accompanied by international film market and industry conferences. This year's edition, the 25th one, is held from April 26 to May 6.
This year, five Polish productions are included in the programme of the festival and as many as two of them will be shown in the section "Artscapes,": "The Beksińskis. A Sound and Picture Album" by Marcin Borchardt and "The Prince and the Dybbuk" by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski.
Whereas "Leocadia's Dream" by Krzysztof Nowicki will compete for the Best Short Award in the international short programme.
It is worthwhile to remind that the work-in-progress by Ana Brzezińska, the film "The Future of Forever," will also appear in Canada. The work-in-progress will be shown at Hot Docs Forum, and you can read more information about the event in our previous news bulletin.
