"16.03" WINS IN KOREA

With a slight delay we have received the news from South Korea where short film "16.03" by Natalia Siwicka has won an award.

Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival is a Korean festival that presents films concerned with topics like love, adventure and fantasy. This year 289 films from 58 countries were shown at BIFAN among which 63 films had there their world premiere. One of the film in the shorts section was "16.03" by Natalia Siwicka, which won Jury’s Choice for Short Film Award.

The jury, justifying their decision, emphasized director's ability to keep the audience in suspense and under constant threat throughout the whole movie. They also added that even though it is the first film made by Siwicka, they hope it is not the last.

In the film we come into a girl’s life for 16 minutes and 3 seconds, during which she faces a thrilling and awkward situation on the road. Being unaware of the danger inside her car, we travel with her emotions. This could happen to anyone...
