FOUR AWARDS FOR „ADAPTATION”
Last two weeks were period of winning streak for Bartosz Krahulik’s film “Adaptation”: it won four awards on international festivals.
First award which „Adaptation” won is Young Filmmakers Award on AIDFF Athens International Digital Film Festival. On Phenicien International Film Festival in France it was honored not with one but two awards: for the best Narrative Short and The Best Director (Bartosz Krahulik). “Adaptation” was also very positively received on Chico International Film Festival in USA where it was granted Best Drama Award.
“Adaptation” is a story about a family which mourns the death of Marcin – son and brother. But instead of looking for reconciliation, the family members frantically reopen old wounds. The atmosphere at home is becoming denser with every word said because neither the brother nor the parents were prepared for the young man’s passing away. Their mutual relations become complicated and snippets of conversations do not help the family find agreement. What is worse, the question about who is guilty of this death keeps coming back to them with increased force.
