POLISH ANIMATED FILMS IN ZAGREB

The World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb has been going on since Monday. In the programme, there are also Polish animated films.

The Animafest Zagreb is one of the most important and the oldest film festivals dedicated entirely to the animated film.  The first edition was held in 1972 and since then, the festival has been recognised and successful both among the film industry and the audience who loves animated film.

This year, four Polish productions are invited to the competition sections. "Acid Rain" by Tomek Popakul has a chance to win the best professional short animated film award. In turn, the best student short animated film award may go to "My Strange Elder Brother" by Julia Orlik or to "An eye for an eye" by Julia Płoch.

At the festival, you can also watch another Polish short animated film. In one of the sections, the film "Mud," directed by Alicja Błaszczyńska, awaits the viewers.

The feature-length film "Another Day of Life" by Damian Nenow and Raul de la Fuente also has a chance to win a statuette.
