"POLA" - the diploma film directed by Edyta Rembała qualified for the FEST New Directors New Films Festival in Portugal and "One Shot" 16th International Documentary Film Festival in Armenia, whereas the film "Between Us," directed by Maciej Miller, won the best short film award at the Ethnocineca - the International Documentary Film Festival in Vienna.
"Pola," directed by Edyta Rembała, tells the story of an 11-year-old girl who cannot come to terms with the fact that her mother goes abroad to find work. The girl tries to stop her. When the woman leaves in spite of all this, Pola decides to run away from home.
"Between Us," directed by Maciej Miller, is a documentary film about a couple of twenty-year-olds who expect a child. Under the influence of tensions and emotions, they decide to split up, and give the child up for adoption. It is not easy for them. There are only two months left before the birth of the child, and the couple spends this time on conversations and experiences which are crucial to their entire lives.
