"ADAPTATION" WITH TWO AWARDS IN INDIA
Bartosz Kruhlik's short film "Adaptation" wins more awards - this time at two international festivals in India.
Last month "Adaptation" was shown at two festivals in India and the film came back from both of them with an award.
Piggy Bank International Short Film Festival took place in Jaipur by the end of February. Bartosz Kruhlik's film won there the Best Story award in the international competition. Whereas last weekend during Vintage International Film Festival in Kolhapur "Adaptation" received the Best Short Film award. These were the 39th and 40th award given to the film!
"Adaptation" is a film about Marcin's family plunging into grief after he dies in an accident. But instead of looking for reconciliation, the family members frantically reopen old wounds. The atmosphere at home is becoming denser with every word said because neither the brother nor the parents were prepared for the young man’s passing away. Their mutual relations become complicated and snippets of conversations do not help the family find agreement. What is worse, the question about who is guilty of this death keeps coming back to them with an increasing force.
