POLISH ANIMATIONS AT GLAS ANIMATION FESTIVAL
This year three Polish animations will be shown at the American festival.
GLAS Animation (GLobal Animation Syndicate) is a non-profit organization run by animators for animators. The festival's mission is to cultivate and promote the art and science of animation through education. The organizers look in the animated films for new, fresh and independent voices. This year two Polish films: "Pussy" by Renata Gąsiorowska and "XoXo Hugs and Kisses" by Wiola Sowa were selected to the short film competition. In the International Showcase the audience will see "Gyros Dance" by Piotr Loc Hoang Ngoc.
"XOXO - Hugs and Kisses" is a film about emotional boundaries, both individual and relationship-related, that we try to establish. By showing the sensual game in which the characters are involved, the film tells the story of mutual fascination, body expression, sensitivity and provocation. Two women and one man create erotic spectacle which reveals their entanglement and loneliness resulting from getting lost in their relationship.
"Pussy", directed by Renata Gąsiorowska, is a funny story about a young girl who spends the evening alone at home. She decides to have some sweet solo pleasure session, but not everything goes according to plan. This production is a real phenomenon - only last year it was shown at 177 festivals.
