POLISH REPRESENTATION AT DOKUFEST IN KOSOVO
On the 31st of July the largest film event in Kosovo will start – DokuFest International Festival of Documentary and Short Films. At this festival, the latest Polish documentary and short films will appear, and they will compete for the main prizes in the international competition programme.
DokuFest will take place from 31st July to 7th August in a picturesque city called Prizren, situated on the south of Kosovo. Every year, the festival presents over hundred films from around the world, most of which take part in festival competitions. Additionally, the participants of DokuFest have the opportunity to widen their knowledge about documentary and short film thanks to workshops, discussion panels and lectures accompanying the festival.
The following Polish films qualified for this year’s DokuFest competition programme:
Chemo, dir. Paweł Łoziński
Six Weeks, dir. Marcin Janos Krawczyk
Little Bride, dir. Lesław Dobrucki
Hanoi-Warsaw, dir. Katarzyna Klimkiewicz
These films will be judged by an international jury, including: Doug Block (USA), Sonja Henrici (Scotland), AJ Schnack (USA), Adriatik Kelmendi (Kosovo) and Pamela Cohn (USA).
Additionally, in the DokuKids section, the frequently shown and awarded at the festivals in Poland and abroad, the animated film “Esterhazy” by Izabela Plucińska will be shown.
