’LUKSUS‘ by JAROSŁAW SZTANDERA RECEIVED AN AWARD IN CLERMONT-FERRAND!
Jarosław Sztandera’s short fiction film, ‘Luksus’, has received an award at one of the most important short cinema events in Europe, the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival in France.
‘Luksus’ dir. by Jarosław Sztandera, a Polish production made at Łódź Film School, was among the awarded films at the 31st Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand which ended on Saturday.|||‘Luksus’, already highly rated in its home country (awards at festivals in Gdynia and Koszalin), received the Young Jury Prize, one of the main awards in the international competition. This came as no surprise since Sztandera’s film, the only production from Poland that qualified for the competition screenings, enjoyed unfaltering popularity among the audience and was a major subject of backstage discussions. At the same time, the picture aroused great interest among the film industry professionals accredited at the Short Film Market where it was part of the Polish Shorts project promoting the Polish short film abroad. The participation in the festival and the prize was just an initial success of Sztandera’s picture, which, given the film popularity, is bound to open an international career for it.Festival website: www.clermont-filmfest.com
