"MOTHER" AWARDED IN LITHUANIA

Good news come to us from Vilnius. There, the film "Mother" by Piotr Gołębiowski was awarded during the 2nd Ramunas Atelier International Independent Film Awards.

RAIIFA is a festival, the main aim of which is to promote young film-makers and independent cinema. This year, during the second edition of the festival, the best short feature film award went to Piotr Gołębiowski for his film "Mother."

The film "Mother" is inspired by true events which took place at the turn of 1943 and 1944 in the town of Legionowo, near Warsaw. German officers Spiller, Rode and Klingemann decide to seize for their headquarters a house inhabited by a four-person Polish family, the Pelkas: Otylia, Czesław, and two little girls Terenia and Jania. Since then, the life of the entire family is at stake.
