6TH POLISH FILM FESTIVAL IN BRAZIL

The best Polish film directing débuts of recent years and the works of several young documentary film-makers are included in the programme of the 6th edition of Polish Film Festival in Brazil.

From June 8 to 13, 2016, in Centro Cultural Banco in Rio de Janeiro, Polish Film Festival in Brazil starts for the sixth time. This year's edition of the festival concentrates on presenting the most interesting directing débuts and promoting the young film-makers and new artistic cinematic phenomena, created by them. The screenings are accompanied by meetings and debates about Polish cinema. The festival is the only review of Polish cinema at such a scale in Brazil.

Six Polish documentary films selected by Krakow Film Foundation will also participate in the festival: "Object" by Paulina Skibińska, "Our Curse" by Tomasz Śliwiński, "Rogalik" by Paweł Ziemilski, "Super Unit" by Teresa Czepiec, "Starting Point" by Michał Szcześniak and "Seven Men At Different Ages" by Sławomir Witek.

The review will last until August 2016 and it will visit the most important cultural centres in the country: São Paulo (CCBB and SESC Pinheiros), Brasília (CCBB), Curitiba (Cinemateca), Belo Horizonte (Fundação Clóvis Salgado), Porto Alegre (Santander Cultural) and Fortaleza (Centro Dragão do Mar de Arte e Cultura).
