"AMERICA" WINS THE SPECIAL MENTION AT ART FILM FEST

On June 25 ended the 24th edition of Art Film Fest in Slovakia. "America" by Aleksadra Terpińska returned from the festival with the Special Mention.

During this edition, the viewers watched 160 films from 57 countries in 225 screenings. In the international competition, the films were assessed by the jury consisting of Simon Ellis, Carmen Gray and Pavel Horáček. The jury decided to award the Special Mention to the film "America" by Aleksandra Terpińska.

The short film is a story about two best friends, Anka and Dżastina, who one day, dreaming about better life, make a decision to hitch-hike. Their "American dream" is confronted with reality and irrevocably changes the relationships between the girls.
