KLARA KOCHAŃSKA AT FUTURE FRAMES

On May 3, the European Film Promotion announced new names of the participants in the programme Future Frames - Ten New Filmmakers to Follow. Among 10 young film-makers worth following, Poland will be represented at the IFF in Karlovy Vary by Klara Kochańska.

The 2nd edition of the programme Future Frames is held in July during the 51st International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary. The new initiative of the festivals and EFP is intended to draw attention of the film industry specialists as well as journalists to young film-makers. During the event, 10 young directors will present their existing achievements and meet with the audience, as well as participate in the most interesting industry events.

Klara Kochańska is the author of short films, shown at festivals in Poland and abroad. In 2015 at the 31st Warsaw Film Festival, her film "The tenants" (prod. by Lodz Film School) was chosen the best short film and won the Short Grand Prix award. The award was given by the jury consisting of: Zuxin Hou (China), Paulina Skibińska (Poland) and Matúš Vizár (Slovakia) for the high quality of directing and the display of acting skills. "The tenants" were also awarded in Hong Kong at the Global Chinese Universities Student Film and Television Festival, where it won the Golden Award for the best foreign film. The film will be also shown at the 56th Krakow Film Festival.
