"SUPER UNIT" AWARDED AT MOV FESTIVAL

In December, MOV Festival was held in Brazil. As many as two awards went to the short documentary film "Super Unit" by Teresa Czepiec.

MOV Festival is a relatively new festival, as only two editions of it were held so far, and its aim is to support the students of film schools in promoting their first artistic achievements. Films from around the world participate in the festival. In 2015, the title "Best Creation of Atmosphere" in the international competition went to "Super Unit" by Teresa Czepiec. However, that is not the only good news. The film was also given the Honourable Mention of the ABD-PE/APECI Jury.

"Super Unit" is a huge block of flats designed, according to the idea by Le Corbusier, as a "machine for living."  On 15 floors of the building, up to 13 thousand people can live. The lift stops every third floor, so the inhabitants have to go through a real labyrinth of corridors and stairs to reach their flats. The main protagonists of the film are people living inside the Super Unit and experiencing important moments of their lives there. 762 apartment doors and 762 stories. The film opens only some of them.
