“SUCH MIRACLES DO HAPPEN” WINS SPECIAL MENTION
It was a very good festival for the Polish film industry. The animated film by Barbara Rupik received a special mention while the feature-length Peasants won the audience award at Anima Brussels.
The Anima Brussels Festival is one of Europe's most important events dedicated to animation, gathering fans of animated films from around the world. During the festival you can watch both novel productions, as well as animation classics.
This year, the Jury decided to award the Polish animated film Such Miracles Do Happen by Barbara Rupik.
One day, all the sculptures in the area come to life. They come out of roadside chapels, leave their pedestals, and slowly start marching forward, all in the same direction. They don't even stop for a moment. People are observing this phenomenon with growing anxiety. No one knows why the figures are moving and where they are going. Only a little girl, with a boneless body, is delighted with this procession of unusual characters. Without muscles, they walk, although they shouldn't. How strange!
