"THE HUNT" AWARDED AT FRENCH FESTIVAL
Yesterday evening, the French festival Entrevues Belfort ended. One of the awards Eurocks One+One went to the animated film by Mateusz Jarmulski.
Entrevues Belfort International Film Festival is an event promoting young and independent film-makers. It is the films by beginner film-makers who made no more than three films which participate in the international competition. In addition to the competition section, in the programme of the event you can find the retrospectives of recognised authors.
This year, the film by Mateusz Jarmulski was invited to the international competition. "The Hunt" is an animated film set in a town surrounded by forests and lakes, somewhere in the northern part of Poland. A dozen houses and homesteads and a small Baroque church. The protagonist – an eleven-year-old boy spends the last month of his summer holidays here. The boy, absorbed in adventure novels about the Wild West, yearns for adventures and experiences. He explores the area, equipped with a journalist's tape recorder and a bow. An innocent adventure suddenly stops being a game. What the boy will experience on this summer evening, will stay with him for a long time. Film was appreciated for a remarkable and innovative musical spirit.
This year's edition of the festival was held from the 18th to the 25th of November.
