"WHAT I WANT" AWARDED IN BELGRADE

After the Easter break, it is time for good festival news. "What I Want" by Damian Kocur returned with the award from the Documentary and Short Film Festival in Belgrade, which ended last Saturday.

This year, the 63rd edition of the festival was held. In Serbia, there was competition among animated, documentary and short films not only from Southern Europe, but also from around the world. In the international competition, the Golden Tablet award for the Best Short Feature Film went to the feature film "What I Want" by Damian Kocur.

The film "What I Want" is set in the contemporary Silesia. Ariel is a 25-year-old, for whom the beloved football team and his dog are the most important things in life. For Karolina - 20-year-old single mother of a year-old child - the career of a cheerleader in one of the Silesian football teams is an illusory chance for better life. The meeting of these two is a clash of two seemingly different desires, both of which spring from loneliness.

More information about the award-winners is on the Festival's Facebook profile.
