Today ended the 19th edition of the Dutch animated film festival. The Jury's special mention went to Tomasz Popakul for his latest film "Black."

Today ended Holland Animation Film Festival, which is one of the most important events on the map of European competitions dedicated to animated film. The festival abounded in Polish features - Marcin Wilczyński had a retrospective of his films and showed the fragments of the latest animated film "Kill it and leave town," some Polish films qualified for the competition, and the jury's special mention went to "Black" by Tomasz Popakul.

"Black" ( "黒") tells the story of a pair of astronauts trapped on a space station as a result of a nuclear war which is going on very quickly below them. They have lost contact with Earth, and all attempts at establishing communication remained unanswered.  All they can do now is to watch mushroom clouds on the surface of the Earth and try to survive together somehow.
