Polish Day in China

Ten Polish documentaries will be shown to the Chinese audience at the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, which starts on 7th December.

„Unemployed”by Nastia Tarasowa, the only one Polish representative at the festival, will compete for the main prize, worth 2 thousand dollars. Apart form this, nine other Polish films will be shown in the frames of the Polish Day: „Goldfish”, „Gadjo”,A Woman Sought”, „Glass trap”, „Mother”, and the films by Bogdan Dziworski - “Fechmistrz”, “Moje okno”, “Olimpiada”, “Obraz”.

In previous years, the main prize went to Jacek Bławut for „The Warrior”, and „Born dead” by this director received the special award. Adam Sikora's directing of „Corpus Christi” was also appreciated.

 

This year, the sixth edition of the festival will take place. The festival features not only the contest section, but also documentary film fairs and seminars.
