„FROZEN STORIES” AWARDED IN CLERMONT-FERRAND!

34th edition of International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand reached its end on Saturday’s evening. “Frozen stories” directed by Grzegorz Jaroszuk scored one of the top awards.

This year two Polish films were accepted to the international competition – animated “Noise” by Przemysław Adamski and above mentioned “Frozen stories”. The Young Jury decided to give its special mention to Grzegorz Jaroszuk’s film. This short fiction repeated the success of Jarek Sztandera who in 2009 received the special mention in the very same category for his “Luxury”.

Screened now at more than eight international festivals, Jaroszuk’s film is a perverse story, set in the coolest corners of the supermarket,  that shows the deep loneliness of two outsiders and their desperate struggles to escape from lives they used to live.  “Frozen stories” was produced as a graduation film at Polish National Film School in Łodź and coproduced by EasyBusyProductions based in Łódź.

The Grand Prix of the festival went to the Korean fiction film “Guest” by Ga Eun Yoon.
