IN SIDE

"In Side" is a short story of a man who, out of his gray world, associated with disorder and sadness, falls into a labyrinth world, even more gray and monotonous, but with a characteristic feature – the unlimited space. From the world flat like a TV screen, the main character falls into the space of labyrinth, stretching along the horizon in all directions. The protagonist in the film experiences a critical moment. Although he plays with life every day, going over the balcony railing with his morning coffee and thinking about jumping down, it is only the world of the labyrinth that forces him to confront himself, which will become the germ of his new, real life.

Anita Kwiatkowska - Naqvi »

She was born in Krakow in 1986. She graduated in animation from the Film School in Łódź and in psychology from the University of Warsaw. She is a producer and director of animated films specializing in stop-motion techniques. For many years, she co-created LeLe Crosmedia Production. In her films, she experiments with traditional animation techniques, creating small, intimate worlds. The films she has directed have gained international recognition, including the Annecy Award for Best Diploma Film for “Ab ovo,” and are shown at festivals around the world.

Piotr Matysiak »

Piotr Matysiak, cinematographer, director. He graduated from Lodz Film School - Direction of Photography - in 2014. Currently he is a PhD student there. An author of features, documantaries, animations, TV programmes. Licensed scuba diver, underwater cinematographer. His passion is stop-motion animation. In 2019 he founded BEEFilm, a film studio specialising in cinematography and color correction. Co-founder of Visual Narrative Laboratory at National Film School In Lodz where he is in charge of S3D Studio – research project.
