POLISH TITLE: SZTANGISTA
It is a story about a professional weightlifter Petro, who is preparing for an important competition. Before the competition, Petro receives tragic news. The hard decision lays upon his shoulders. His inner conflict makes Petro into something more, than just a mechanical bundle of muscles.

In 2013 graduated from Kyiv National Karpenko-Karyy University of Theatre, Cinema and Television. During his studies at the university, hi made several short films, which were participating and received awards at different international festivals. Participant of the Berlinale Talent Campus 2013. Contributor of the documentary project Babylon#13 (cinema of civil protest) Kyiv, Ukraine. Scholarship-holder of the program of the Minister of Culture of Poland "Gaude Polonia" 2015, 2017. Organizer of the Ukrainian Script Platform «TERRARIUM». Participant TorinoFilmLab (Script&Pitch) 2016 and Midpoint Intencive 2017. Member of the National Union of Filmmakers of Ukraine and member of Ukrainian Film Academy. Member of EFA (European Film Academy) since 2018. Participant Locarno Film Academy 2019. Project of debut feature film «PAMFIR» selected to CINÉFONDATION - The Résidence 2019. Short film «WEIGHTLIFTER» (Ukrainian-Polish co-production) was awarded Short Grand Prix at Warsaw Film Festival, including qualification for Oscar, and received from Drama Short Film Candidate for the European Film Awards 2019.
