CZECH SWAN
POLISH TITLE: CZESKI ŁABĘDŹ
The film protagonists are women who dance in a folk dancing group at a local centre for senior citizens. In a small town, just behind Poland’s southern border, they pursue their passion, which is an extraordinary element of their daily lives otherwise revolving around common household chores, cooking or taking care of the family. They perform as majorettes dancing the cancan on a TV show but keep looking for new forms, too, and turn to ballet.
