FROM BED THOU AROSE

POLISH TITLE: Z ŁÓŻKA POWSTAŁEŚ

REPRESENTED BY KFF

A comically absurd parable that tells the story of a furniture-beds maker who, after the fall of communism, expands his business, from camp beds right through to run-ins with the mafia. He pays a price in his private life for getting drunk on freedom and capitalism. The Polish transformation from a bed point of view, or 20 scenes from the groundbreaking events in Poland’s recent history. Probably the first film in the history made only from the top shots.
