The film presents the extraordinary life of Samuel Willenberg, a sculptor and painter, prisoner of Treblinka, participant of the Warsaw Uprising, recipient of the Virtuti Militari Medal and the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. He tells the story of his eventful life, starting from childhood in his home town of Częstochowa, through the war years when he took part in the revolt of prisoners in the Treblinka death camp, from which he escaped, until his life today in Tel Aviv.
