POLISH TITLE: RODNIK

An elder woman and her adult son live alone in Tyak village in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic  since 21 years, i.e. since the end of war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The village, once big and populous, is now depopulated. Some of the inhabitants died, some others, especially the Azerbaijanis, left their houses when they were running away. The protagonists of the film live in poverty in an empty, half-ruined farm built of stones. In autumn they collect huge amounts of walnuts, which are than dried on the floor of the house. The son is mute. The mother is on the verge of insanity, she talks about the deceased, the only companions of her lonely life. The film is a short documentary picture, director's first impression of the visit in this exceptional place, recorded on a black and white tape. It is also a trace of one of many forgotten wars.
