A couple of Ukrainians, Olena and Dima, is travelling to Sweden. Dima’s wallet with her passport gets stolen on a Polish train. A thief throws it through the window. They have to find it before a ferry leaves. The real reason of this trip reveals.

The fact that she was born on the day of the 55th birthday of Roman Polański is not a mere coincidence. A daughter of shipyard worker and an accountant, a sister of a mathematician, a granddaughter of three Kashubians and one citizen of the Free City of Danzig, she decided to be a film director. She started with short documentary movie about female Polish hockey-player, now she is more interested in feature films. She graduated from Gdynia Film School where she studied film directing and from University of Gdansk where she learnt Slavic languages. „Olena” is her diploma film.
