Michał and Kid plan to commit a random murder. They choose their prey and follow it persistently. For the Kid the older and uncompromising Michał becomes an authority. At first as he gets influenced by the older friend the boy considers the murder as a test of strength gradually he comes to an understand what harsh consequences it might bring. “The boys” is a story of an evil that grows inside a person and about the human weakness as well as social solitude.

Paweł Orwat »

born in 1979 in Koszalin, Paweł studied at the College of Photography in Wroclaw and graduated in Film Studies from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. His short film Judgment was presented at the Short Film Corner of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival, 2009. He has made an independent documentary entitled "Palacz" about the Krakow-based actor and performer Jakub Palacz and has also directed several music videos.
