30 degrees in the shade, hot skin, stillness of the air. Snail crushed by a dirty sneakers. Silence. Owl is eight years old. She has a mom, dad and a secret plan - to get to the desolate island. In the old cottage house she finds a pontoon, but it has a leak. Owl has to ask her parents for help, but they are too busy trying to solve their own problems. Mum is trying to seduce her husband again while dad is trying to tell her it's all over between them. Finally a neighbour helps to fix the pontoon. Everything is ready, but the expedition is still being delayed. "Owl" is the story about the last childhood holidays, that ends up too soon and not in a way it’s supposed to.
