Kamil Polak
graduate of Łódź Film School, where he made his first experimental animations. His student film "Birth of a Nation" (2001) is shown in the framework of the best films representing Łódź Film School. He was visual effects supervisor of the Academy Award-winning film PETER AND THE WOLF (2008). Kamil is the director of the outstanding animation “The Lost Town of Switez”, which premiered at the International Film Festival Berlinale in 2011, screened at 150 international film festivals and won over 25 awards. Recently, Kamil gained attention for his animated projections for the spectacles by Krzysztof Warlikowski, Poland’s most influential theatre and opera director. The most spectacular are animated inserts for Richard Strauss's opera "Die Frau ohne Schatten" ("The Woman without a Shadow") prepared for the anniversary of the Munich opera reconstruction after World War II - one of the key opera scenes in Germany. He also is an experienced commercials director, alone or in a team with Wojtek Wawszczyk. With Human Ark since 2010.
