“CLEAR SKY” WINS AWARD AT FESTIVAL IN ARGENTINA

Marcin Kundera’s film "Clear Sky" has received a Special Mention in the Órbita competition at FIDBA – the International Documentary Film Festival of Buenos Aires. This year’s edition of the festival was held on 24-30 November.

FIDBA, Argentina’s first international documentary film festival, serves as a significant platform for presenting films that engage in dialogue about contemporary strategies for depicting reality. Every year, the festival presents a broad selection of projects: from ones made by emerging filmmakers, through the output of established auteurs, to titles previously unknown to wider audiences. Its curators emphasise the importance of diverse forms of documentary expression – from film and visual arts through new media formats, photography and installations, to documentary theatre and transmedia projects – as well as various intersections between documentary and fiction.

"Clear Sky" follows Wowa and Roma as they spend the last days of their holidays in their hometown. Explosions, air-raid sirens and the presence of soldiers in the streets cast a shadow over their daily lives, yet childhood – even during war – still finds a way to persist.
