POLISH PRODUCTIONS AT THE CLERMONT-FERRAND FESTIVAL

One of the most important short film festivals is starting at the end of this month. The 44th edition of the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival also features Polish productions.

The festival in Clermont Ferrand has enjoyed great esteem in the film community for many years. The selectors choose the best short films for competitions, invite numerous guests, and hold interesting meetings. This year's 44th edition of the festival takes place between 28 January and 5 February 2022 and – as always – boasts an extremely rich program.

As many as five Polish productions were invited to the competitions. Four animated films will be competing for awards: Fury by Julia Siuda, Airborne by Andrzej Jobczyk (also screened in the children's section), Five Minutes Older by Sara Szymańska, and the Polish-Slovak Once There Was a Sea… by Joanna Kozuch. Daria Kasperek's experimental short The Edge of Town was also invited to the competition.

Let's not forget that the Euro Connection co-production forum will also be taking place during the festival. One of the presented projects this year will be I Am Not Here Anymore by Nawojka Wierzbowska. The animated film is produced at the Krakow Film Cluster. You can read more about it here.
