"SON OF THE STREETS" WITH THE SILVER EYE AWARD
The producers of Mohammed Almughanni's new film received the Silver Eye Award at the Jihlava Festival. The National Film, Television and Theater School in Łódź is responsible for the production of "Son of the Streets".
Silver Eye is a distinction that is unique among other film awards as it is awarded to the producer, not the director of the film. The award is given to the best films presented at the East Silver film market held during Ji.hlava International Documentary FF and is intended to support the promotion and distribution of the film abroad. The films participating in the market are divided into two categories - short and long. Apart from the statuette, the winners receive a cash prize and a yearly representation of the film in the East Silver Caravan, which is synonymous with the promotion of the winning film at over 130 most important film festivals and fairs in the world.
In addition to the film "Son Of The Streets" by Mohammed Almughann, awarded in the short film category, three other Polish documentaries also competed for this year's awards - "We Have One Heart" by Katarzyna Warzecha, "Say yes. No" by Paweł Hejbudzki and co-production of "Salt from Bonneville" by Simon Mozgovyi.
